I’m trying out Guild Wars 2. While the world itself is somewhat generic non-memorable fantasy, the transmog and armor dye system is fantastic. (In case you were worried that my priorities had changed somehow in the last 10 days – they haven’t.)
I’m not playing GW2 seriously at all, but it’s been a good transition game to scratch the MMO itch I’ve picked up over the past 6 years. GW2 is a very pretty game, and running around hitting things with a really big sword is satisfying.
It’s two years old, so it’s not the new hotness on the block. I know most of my friends are playing Wildstar but that game hasn’t grabbed me yet. So I’m just enjoying quietly dinking around in a different MMO, seeing what there is to see and how different companies make their games.
I should have looked around long ago.
