So, a solution, of sorts. The above is a picture of WoW running on my server, accessed from my laptop. I unplug the second monitor on my server (to keep the screen aspect sane) and share the screen from my laptop. Go full screen in WoW and … I’m in.
The picture is blurry due to the VNC compression and sharing. I can zoom in on the UI elements to make it a little easier to use, but I still can’t really read any text. But I can quest and kill things, move stuff around, work on key binds, that sort of thing.
It’s not great – heck, it’s barely usable, and not being able to see ANYTHING people are saying kinda defeats the purpose – but it’s a start.
Perhaps a VM on the server would help.
