Cataclysm PVP Feedback, Lite Edition

So, uh. I know I said I wasn’t going to use this space to post real content, but this has been in my drafts for a while and I’ve got a huge warlock series sitting on my head so this is never getting done.

Here’s my take on what worked, and didn’t work, with Cataclysm PvP. In bullet point format, because that’s how I roll.

BAD CHANGES NO BISCUIT

  • Tol Barad rewards – fighting for dailies. (We literally fought for the right to do dailies, what. the. fuck.)
  • Tol Barad honor win-trading fiasco
  • PvP season gear transition (that made me quit the endgame)
  • PvP season interseason week with Conquest points
  • Rating exploits
  • Poor MMR matching in rated battlegrounds
  • Conquest cap point changes to drive players to Rated BGs
  • Rated Battleground changes maps negatively impacting unrated play (WSG). Right way is EoTS, with slightly different maps.
  • WSG graveyard changes
  • WSG Focused Assault
  • AB reputation nerf
  • Reintroduction of PvP titles, but restricting level 60 pvp gear from transmogging
  • Low level pvp balance issues
  • Level 75-79 bracket gear issues
  • Level 80-84 bracket gear issues
  • Damage scaling issues in IoC with bosses and siege engines, especially in 80-84 bracket
  • Removing riders from Demos in SotA
  • PvE gear in PvP continues to be an issue
  • NPC scaling in all BGs
  • Honor gain too slow through 4.0.6
  • Removing skirmishes in favor of war games
  • Legendaries in PvP

NEEDS HELP
